Vashon Island is about community. the Vashon Park District participates enthusiastically and synergistically with a variety of island service organizations.

Vashon Allied Arts -- The arts have a long and rich history on Vashon Island, home to thousands of artists. Lovingly managed by Vashon Allied Arts since 1966, the Blue Heron Art Center is one of the oldest community arts centers in the state of Washington. Vashon Allied Arts believes that everyone is an artist. Find your inner artist through VAA at www.vashonalliedarts.org

Voice of Vashon (VoV) -- Voice of Vashon is independent island community media operated solely by volunteers. It includes a webcasting audio stream, a cable TV channel (Comcast channel 21) and a Travelers Information Service (TIS) AM radio station at 1650AM. Vashon Park District hosts the TIS station. Drama Dock Community Theater -- This is Vashon Island's non-profit community theater company. They produce three major productions each year, spring, summer and fall. It's about islanders entertaining islanders and off-island theater buffs with comedies, dramas and musicals. Auditions are open to all islanders. Contact Drama Dock at P.O. Vashon Youth and Family Services (VYFS) -- The VYFS mission is to help Islanders raise thriving, resilient children and youth by fostering a community of emotionally healthy, resourceful families and individuals . They do this by providing broad support to our community with a variety of services in the areas of Counseling, Prevention, and Social Services. Explore their website to learn more at www.vyfs.org
