Registration closes September 9
Join Vashon's champion rowers and compete or learn to row for fun. It's recreational rowing for all skill levels! Work with Vashon's winning team in sweep rowing - where the rower uses one oar with two hands in a shell that holds 2,4, or 8 oars. Practice and train with our new champion coach, Steve Full of the renowned UW team. Steve is starting Jr. Crew practices and workouts two weeks early this year -- for the same seasonal price of $350 per rower. So sign up now to become part of the winning team. Registration is open until September 9.
The season runs August 30 to November 14. Practices are Monday through Friday, 3:00-5:30PM at the Jensen Pt. Boathouse.

Tang Soo Do – Fall Season Starts September 7-

An ancient form of martial art known for building self-discipline, self-confidence, physical fitness, stress management and the ultimate technique for self-defense. Fall classes, taught by Lisa Bruce, are for people ages 6-12. $6/class. New Students aged 6-12 meet Tues. & Thurs., 4-5PM; continuing students meet 5-6PM at Ober Park.

Vashon Seals Swim Team -- Fall
A competitive year-round swim program guided by age group for swimmers 7 to 18. Returning swimmers register at Ober Park for Fall Quarter programs Wednesday, Sept. 8. New swimmers placed by appointment.

V.I. Junior Basketball – Sign up October 1 to play in January
VIJB’s 2011 season registration opens
October 1. Players kindergarten thru grade 6 can join a team in this Island-wide league. Register by age group and gender. Practice times and locations vary. Kindergarteners pay $40. All others pay $60. Team drafts start in November. Practices start in January, and games run January through mid-March.

Winter Camp Beba -- Register September 7
Come play in a 3-day mini-Camp Beba during Vashon School District’s Winter break. Campers will make candy, fuse beads, cook, and take an off-island field trip. Medical information is required.
$245/camper.

Vashon Park District will gladly refund program fees when they are requested a minimum of 7 business days prior to the program start date. Refunds requested fewer than 7 business days prior to the program start date will be provided only for a documented medical reason or as the result of a significant family emergency. For each refund issued, no matter the reason, Vashon Park District will assess a $25 administration fee. THANK YOU!
