Vashon's Park District manages a few meeting rooms including:
The Ober Park Performance Room -- located in our Administrative Office building at Ober Park, the Performance Room is primarily a dance studio and performance space. Used heavily throughout the week for VPD fitness, dance, and martial arts classes, it is also a wonderful venue for smaller, more intimate concerts, and on occasion, community meetings. The room includes a DVD projector and sound system, making it a great place for movie screenings.

Ober Park Lobby -- good for smaller meeting. Due to its location in the heart of our Administrative offices, however, it is reserved for evening activities, not day use.
Paradise Assembly Building – this 2000 sq.ft. building at Paradise Ridge Park, with its concrete slab floor and cinder block walls, is utilitarian in every way. Our community Table Tennis program uses the building every Sunday, and equestrian groups hold regular meetings in the space.
VASHON COMMONS
Under an inter-local agreement with Vashon School District, the Vashon Park District manages a variety of meeting roomse for public use. To view the current calendar for Vashon School District meeting rooms click here.
Chautauqua Elementary School (CES) Multipurpose Room (MPR) – this is the smallest of the three school cafeterias. An ideal setting for public meetings and team parties.
McMurray (McM) MPR – an ideal venue for public meetings, the middle school cafeteria is also frequently used for Theatre rehearsals and auditions, made possible by the location of a piano in the room.
McM South Hall – take the wall down, it’s part of the MPR, but with the wall in place, it’s an independent classroom ideal for smaller meetings.
McM Library – an excellent venue for smaller meetings.
McM Band Room – this room can be used both as a meeting space and a rehearsal space for musical performances. A piano lives here full time.
McM Lobby – the open space when you enter the school thru the main doors, the lobby can become part of your event when you need it.
Vashon High School (VHS) Commons – the largest of the three school cafeterias used for large public meetings. Theatre groups also use this space on performance nights.
VHS Band Room – used by chorale and orchestra groups, this room is also suitable for meetings. Located in F building.
VHS F-107 – next door to the Band Room, this smaller classroom is a perfect venue for smaller committee meetings.
VPD has a 30' x 40' circus tent that can be rented to community non-profit organizations for special events.
