Kayaking around Vashon-Maury Islands is a paddler's delight. The Vashon Park District manages a kayak rental center out of the Jensen Point Boathouse on the Burton Peninsula. And, kayakers are welcome at a variety of other parks dotting the water's edge. Some even allow overnight camping for kayakers and other human-powered boaters, with permission from the Washington Water Trails Association .
