There are only a few parks on Vashon Island where dogs are not welcome, mostly because their activity is not compatible with the primary purpose of the park. Those parks where dogs are not allowed are:
Fern Cove-it's a nature preserve and dogs disturb the wildlife
Fisher Pond -- a bird sanctuary where dogs disturb the delicate eco-system
Village Green -- an in-town park where food is often sold and children play in the grass
At all other parks we ask that dogs stay off the athletic fields, and stay home during special events.
